In the realm of online gaming, Dark and Darker has emerged as the new horror sensation, scratching that itch for a heart-pounding challenge. This first-person adventure game beckons brave players to embark on perilous journeys into unforgiving dungeons, filled with unexpected traps, menacing skeletons, and crafty goblins. However, the main question remains: How to get Cape in Dark and Darker?

However, no true adventurer dares step into the treacherous world of Dark and Darker without an arsenal of swords, crossbows, and hammers. While different users have different weapon preferences, the Cape remains a fan favorite across the board.

This seemingly unassuming garment takes on a central role in the game, providing both style and protection. Unfortunately, getting your hand on one of these is no walk in the park. But no need to fret. In this article, we’ll delve into exactly what the Cape is and where you can get your hands on it.

The Cape is a unique item in the captivating world of Dark and Darker. On top of making a fashion statement, players can use the cape as an armor for added protection.

This way the Cape becomes more than a mere accessory in the chaotic and unpredictable world of Dark and Darker, where every corner of the dungeons holds the promise of danger. Capes were introduced for the first time in April as part of a new gameplay test. Perhaps to make up for delaying the game with the legal battles and technical issues.

The gameplay test not only introduced capes but also a whole new wave of fresh features, including a brand-new map that expanded the game’s immersive world, a novel class that allowed for more diverse playstyles, and most notably, a novel addition to the player’s inventory – the “Back” slot for Back armor.

Players could find this new inventory slot on the right side of their primary body kit. Though initially confused, they soon realized that this slot was custom-tailored to accommodate one item – the Cape.

Ironmace could introduce more options with time for the Back slot, further diversifying the gaming experience and offering more customization options.

There are four different kinds of capes in the game. Each of them comes with varying stats and armor ratings. Capes are not class-specific. All of the classes feature a special inventory slot, where the Cape can snugly fit.

Unfortunately, Ironmace did not make our lives any easier with the location of the Cape. You can find this piece of black fabric at a bunch of different places in the game. We’ve listed them below:

  1. Goblin Cave: You can head to the Goblin Cave to find the Cape. You will need to bring down the Ogre boss first but once you do the mystical black fabric is all yours. It will be neatly tucked in a chest somewhere.

Don’t underestimate the Ogre boss because he’s a heavy hitter. Make sure to keep your distance and go for ranged attacks because besting the Ogre in close combat is a tall order.

  1. Chest of Lions: Speaking of chests, some players have been lucky enough to find the Cape within the Chest of Lions. The chest drops loot from the loot box and while most of the time, it’s the same stuff, the rarity can vary depending on the location of the chest box.

The only problem is that half the time, these chests are surrounded by formidable foes. So you better be a really good fighter or you should have an invisibility potion on hand.

  1. Purchase at the Market Board: You can also head to the Market Board and hope that someone is selling the Cape. Keep in mind that you will need to open your wallet for this one. However, your chances of catching the Cape on sale in the market are pretty low. Given its rarity, you won’t find a lot of players willing to part ways with it.

Conclusion

All in all, the Cape is a symbol of unparalleled skill and achievement in the enigmatic world of Dark and Darker. It’s more than just a piece of clothing, but a testament to the bravery of those who dare take on the horrors of the dungeons.

The Cape can be found in a range of different places in the game, like the Goblin Cave and in the Chest of Lions. You can also try your luck at the Market Board. However, that lead may turn up empty, since players don’t feel like giving up the exclusive item.
